Non-musical history for today: 1988 – Benazir Bhutto was sworn in as Prime Minister of Pakistan, becoming the first woman to head the government of a Muslim-majority state. Then she was the leader of the opposition and ousted, and again was the leader of the opposition, and finally, in 2007, she got into a bulletproof car but opened the hatch to wave to the crowd, and a doofus within two to three meters of her shot her and blew himself up in a jacket with explosives and ball bearings. This ended her and 22 other people.
