In 2017, Toni Truno accepted the challenge to answer “… the one question no artist wants to be asked – how do you monetize that?”

She founded Visual Index, a woman-owned art gallery in the downtown arts district of Winston-Salem.

Formally educated as a photographer, Toni uses her photography skills to curate contemporary craft and fine art in a range of mediums, with a focus on representing “living makers” from all 50 states.
