Non-musical history for today: All on the same day in 1945 – The Surrender of Caserta is signed by the commander of German forces in Italy. Food airdrops begin over German-occupied regions of the Netherlands. Adolf Hitler marries his longtime partner Eva Braun in a Berlin bunker and designates Admiral Karl Dönitz as his successor. Tomorrow won’t be a happy honeymoon start. The Dachau concentration camp, just outside Munich, was liberated by United States troops. Wow.

Music history, album anniversaries, birthdays, and deaths for April 29.

Recorded in the Omniverus Podcast Studios at Liberty Plaza.
