The history you need to know today is this: In 1968, my parents, Tim and Sandra, were married. This is 58 years. Also, 40 years ago today, I moved from the dingy, dirty hollers of West Virginia to the great city of Winston-Salem, NC. Not everything about WSNC is great, but I wouldn’t have had any future had I stayed in WV.
Also, it’s fathers’ day. So, to any father, grandfather, stepfather, pet father, or father figure, I hope it is a fantastic one. Even fathers-to-be, like my son, Trey. Revel in this day, dads.
