Non-musical history for today: 1540 – English King Henry VIII commanded his fourth wife, Anne of Cleves, to leave the court. This Anne made it 187 days. She was not beheaded. In fact, following the annulment, she received a generous settlement, including Richmond Palace (no longer exists), and Hever Castle, home of Henry’s former in-laws, the Boleyns. That must have been awkward.
