Non-musical history for today: 1905 – Albert Einstein published the third of his Annus Mirabilis papers, introducing the special theory of relativity. This proclaims the constancy of the speed of light, C, and derives the Lorentz transformations. Einstein also examined relativistic aberration and the transverse Doppler effect. I don’t know what any of that means, but it sounds impressive, right?
