Beeswax Vinyl Daily — October 6, 2026

Non-musical history for today: 1789 – French Revolution: King Louis XVI was forced to change his residence from Versailles to the Tuileries Palace. Read: The revolutionaries grabbed him and Marie Antoinette and dragged them to the Tuileries Palace. The reasoning being that the King would be more accountable to the people if he lived among them in Paris. He made it until January, when he was executed. The Tuileries Palace, by the way, was burned down in 1871 and demolished in 1883. In its place now are Les Jardins des Tuileries (Tuileries Gardens), and I have walked through them twice. It’s a lovely (and long) patch right by the Louvre, if you go.

Music history, album anniversaries, birthdays, and deaths for October 6.

Recorded in the Such-N-Such Studios at Liberty Plaza.
